I'll admit I'm still unclear on your explanation of the picture with kids with their hands to their foreheads, but regardless the above is in tension with " I suspect there is intelligence involved behind all this and its intention is not to cause a panic of reality shifting.". And there is nothing to favor either of those explanations over the other. I mean we could just jump to the end and just say God did it big 'G' God is not so weak as to have anomalies, he defined the effect for every cause, he's just messing with reality and us with the ME for his own inscrutable purposes. If your Metawhoever mostly-omnipotent being is actually altering memories and reality, we've lost grounds for everything, including evidence and rationality, there isn't much to discuss, you have even more reasons to doubt the accuracy of memory. Your explanation that the picture was changed but not the kids or their memories, that's more than just the kids shifting timelines (or is an instantaneous ME). I'm thinking the Thinker picture above wrecks the consciousness-merely-shifting-timeline theory, especially if we apply the usual need of decades for a ME to manifest. The reason I have been evaluating this theory is that I think to take potential explanations any further is pointless and pulls the rug out from everything. I have no idea what happened to this timeline's other consciousness of the same person who was sharing this cornucopia-less reality with me, maybe that consciousness exchanged with the other and is now having a reverse ME that they remember there never was a cornucopia but now there is one in their new timeline. I've mainly been evaluating the timelines version as, despite the violence it still does do to the concept of 'reality', it seems the most conservative: people who have a memory of a cornucopia have had their consciousness shifted from their old timeline where there was a cornucopia to our nearby timeline where there isn't, and are now here with people like me who has always either been in this timeline or only in timelines where the cornucopia didn't exist. In the back of my mind I do try to come up with a papa-like explanation for the ME if it's not faulty memory. I don't think the cornucopia is the best potential example for this due to the 'contamination' issue that I think up, but a good point that a memory error would not fully explain the cornucopia if we had good reason to believe that there were many different ways the cornucopia could have been positioned and evidence that the ME experiencers largely only remembered one of the positions consistently (and reason to think they would remember something like that accurately, which is to me one of the fatal flaws in all ME claims). In your studies I think Tiggs has actually brought up a method where you feasibly could have better evidence where you find better evidence why something is not simply a memory error beyond, 'I can't explain it, it's in my head and is my best judgment'. If this is the threshold for Mandela Effects I predict you will find an endless number of them, so at least you will be busy I guess. You have such unfounded faith in human memory, perception, and cognition, very selectively of course. Since that time some Mandela Effect caused the statue to change in the picture and in reality to the new way but the kids did not change leaving this interesting anomaly.Īll because you find it unbelievable that the kids, while not even looking in the direction of the sculpture, did the wrong pose. When this photo was first taken in the 1990's (as I seem to recall) the statue itself had the hand to forehead pose and when everyone initially looked at the photo there was nothing weird and the kids were imitating the pose roughly correctly.
